jammingdevice What an odd little mallsoft EP. Mezzaluna’s half more directly samples Half-Life and its aural landscape, while 猫シ Corp.’s half wants to emulate the kind of muzak a corporate-hell version of the Black Mesa facility might play in its liminal spaces. This distantly recalls the era Half-Life first arrived to us in, as well as “what ifs” about the world at which Black Mesa hints during the opening monorail ride.

Not exactly my cuppa, but I’m glad I tuned in for curiosity’s sake. Favorite track: Mezzaluna - Health Station.
